Has anyone ever played at Tara Billiards?

I just got wind of a handicapped barbox tournament on Friday nights at Tara Billiards in Jonesboro,GA and I am interested in playing in the tournament. Has anyone ever played there or know someone who has played there? If so, describe the place. According to the details I was given, the entry fee is $10, there is a calcutta, and players are given a handicap from 4 to 12 and the number of games required to win is based on your handicap. The person telling me this hasn't been to the tournament in a while so it may be old news. However, I figured there has to be someone who knows something about the place on the forums. Thanks in advance!

It has been a few years but I remember the tables needing a little work but overall it was a good place with friendly staff. It's what I call a smaller country type room.

Cool sounds like my kinda place. Did you ever play in the tournament?
I also heard that during the night of the tournaments, a break and run contest is held where you put up $5 and if you can break and run on one of their 9 footers, you win $100. That sounds a little too good to be true though or if it is true, there has to be a catch.
The person who told me about the tournament is supposed to call the place soon and find out if they still hold the tournament.
