Has anyone ever tried to install a Ki-Tech (Medium hardness) tip without a lathe?

I would really like to try out one of these Ki-Tech tips, but really wish I could maybe do it on my own, without having to pay a local repair person $20 to install it for me.

I assume it is not possible though, because they are so different then other tips, and you need to use a razor blade in order to trim the sized, and shape the tip.

Loved this video, showing an install by a Pro, with one of these tips.

I think that anybody who has ever installed a tip properly by hand could do it.

I have installed White Diamond break tips by hand and I am sure thay are way harder than those tips.

The key is to take your time and have a really sharp razor knife.

Thanks. I found this video that shows an easy way to trim the edges, using a drill, and a pin, that will fit the shafts threads.
