Has Anyone Punched Out Earl?

Im from the music world, where all the movers, shakers and game changers were bonkers. I say were because no one in the music world puts their balls on the line any more. They just creature a formula for the lowest common demoninator. I see Earl as a genius pool player. In my opinion the greatest 9 ball player ever, who coincidentally has a high run in 14:1 of 408!
Ive seen Earl be incredibly gracious to his opponents. Often clapping for them, tapping his cue on a good shot or point out to the crowd how hard of a shot his opponent just made.
For all the crazy shit Earl does there are things he is not recognized for. For example he was the only pro player that didnt take part in the Mike Lebron Challenge of Champions scam. I love the fact that he calls out all those robotic players that take forever to shoot. "You have to look at THAT shot 10 times before you shoot it!" "Man, youre killing this sport."
Yes, Earl has issues but i love his passion.

good post - thanks for the link ....
and yea ... he was out of line on several occasions. To be honest? I was watching some of the video just enjoying watching the kid shoot ... he's damn good.

Yeah, and that was 5 years ago, not 2 like I mentioned in the OP. I wonder how good is he today? I don't see him on any rankings, but other than BCA, I don't know where to look.

Earl can still play at a high level. His current FargoRate of 779 is tied for 6th in the USA and tied for 53rd in the world.

He finished 9th/16th this year in both the SBE Players Championship (10-Ball) and Appleton's first 8-Ball event.

And, of course, he defeated Van Boening in a 3-day challenge match on a 10-footer just a week ago.

I was wondering about Landon.

Oh; sorry. Landon has been winning individual and team collegiate titles at Lindenwood University near St. Louis for the past few years.

Thanks for that. Guess I just assumed Landon would be playing in the pro events by now. He'll be fun to watch when he does. Watch out SVB.

During the match with Landon, Earl let the Fbomb go dozens of times. He just acts like a guy off his meds.

Again, how many F-bombs did Jordan drop in his career? Thousands and thousands. And that was when he was being nice.

Again, so what. Why does it ONLY matter in pool. Jordan can call your "mother" this and that and nobody cares, other then the opponent, not the media, not the HOF voters, not the basketball team he purchased, nor any of his numerous sponsors that paid him in excess of 100's of millions over the years.

Yes, a pool player uses bad language. Shocking. What's next, they hustle too? Stop the presses :p

Bottom line, Stan's been around pool a LONG time. He knows Earl's reputation, and he allowed his son to play against Earl and had no qualms about it. The only person that should be b1tching is him, and he's not. It was worth it to see him lose ;) I like Earl, but I did enjoy watching the youngster get the best of him. Nice to see the underdogs come out on top.

...Scott told him that he didn,t care if earl was a legend and world champion,he told him to quit running his mouth because he was out of line. Earl didn,t and long story short scott semi choked him out lol.(grabbed earl with both hands around his throat, and tackled him over a table) scott didn,t hit him and earl was just choked purple lol and embarrassed more than hurt.
This thread definitely needs an Earl choking pic...
