Hi Steven,

Joe Porper invented this wrap and I've seen him do it. Only Joe does it. Tons of work. It's a bunch of separate thick tooling leather circles punched out in a donut shape. These are glued to the handle and turned down on a lathe and burnished. It's an incredible thing to see in it's various stages , and it's a great wrap. It's similar in looks to a stack wrap, but the leather is not one continuous strand as in a stack wrap.

Hmm, only Joe does it ? I've seen stacked leather wraps in many other cues... and actually tried one. Felt reeeeally nice.

This wrap is actually done during the building stages of the cue.

Yep I remember seeing that cue in his workplace before it was finished. The wrap looked pretty sloppy and I was wondering if it was just an experiment, but it seems like it came out pretty nice.

Looks very nice finished BUT
What happens if it gets damaged. Definately not the cue for a hammerhead.

I was thinking if you had to replace it, it's probably alot of a deeper grove then your regular wrap would be, I would think!
