has Schon cues won more tournaments than any other brand ?

In the 80s and 90s Schon, Joss, and Meucci won the most tournaments.

Nick Varner and Mike Sigel played w/ Joss and they won everything.

Mike retired and Nick switched to Meucci and won quite a bit with that.

Johnny Archer - the player of the 90s used several beautiful Schons. He was my hero, and I couldn't wait to get one. Shannon used one as well, apparently, and several others. I remember seeing lots of good players using Schons back then.

Another big one is Meucci. Efren was winning w/ a Meucci (he was using it when he won the US OPEN 9 ball and when he beat Earl in that big race to 100 money match), Buddy Hall, David Howard, Jim Rempe, and many others.

Which "cue" was used to acquire the most tournament wins? Wow....that is a good question...but I'm going to guess on sheer volume alone, probably Meucci.

Dont forget Cuetec ;). ( nvm) i just read the earlier post. Cant beleive SVB has turned to the darkside of playing with plastic :(

seems pool tournaments didn't even start till the 70's.....

I'll go with Brunswick; there had to be pool tournaments in the 20's-60's :p

Allison used a Cuetec to win all those tournaments and dominate Women's pool ......But guess what...there was a PREDATOR shaft on her cues.

Who can really know if Schon is the most winning cue? Is it always a Schon shaft on there? Same goes for any other cue.

Players win tournaments, not cues. But it is an interesting notion to ponder. It made me think...I like that. :)

Brunswick

Include Rambo's and Balabushka's built with titlist blanks. But Old Joss Cues are in there too.
These Cues dominated all for deacdes.
Nick :)

Dufferin cues have won more tournaments than Schon, Meucci, Cutec, and Balabushka combined!
