Did anyone see the match live? I saw the scoreline today and was surprised that JA lost 11-4. (he played with darren so well)

Was Hatch on fire?

I didn't see it, but looks like Hatch has turned it up a notch, steamrolling his last three opponents [Archer=4, Kiamco=5, and Nevel=3].

If the final is Hatch-Appleton, I think he may be a favorite since he beat Appleton in that long race on TAR and he's obviously getting better as he gets to the finish line.

I am pretty sure I heard Hatch tell someone Thursday night that he wasn't playing very well. I'd hate to see how good he can play when he considers himself to be playing well.

Will his play at the Open secure a spot for him on the Mosconi team? I think so.

Dennis is a monster and he can finish. I have been pulling for him. He is due for another major.

If my adding is correct.....even with a win, it will not secure a point spot for Hatch. But it could put him in the position to be looked at for the fourth and fifth spot on the team.

Hatch

Danny Diliberto said on the commentary that "Hatchet" ran 7 racks- not sure if he meant consecutive, but by the way he said it, sounded like they were. Awesome shooting Dennis- hope you make Mosconi Cup, especially since you were MVP!!!!!!!

i got hatch the 3rd best american rotation player. a very close 3rd to JA

Based on what? Rodney Morris won the 10-ball event at Derby City this year, beating Feijen, Vann Corteza and Appleton in his last three matches. Rodney won in September at Turning Stone, beating Putnam and crushing Pagulayan in the final.

For me, Rodney is just as clearly second best as Shane is best. If Hatch lifts the trophy tonight, I'll reconsider.

I didn't see the match but I heard the same thing.... Hatch has a very high gear.... I'm surprised that this will be his highest cash in 5+ years.... I don't think he's cashed for over 5k since 2006 excluding the Mosconi cup....

JW, is that Stalev in your avatar??? I saw that guy give Kang the 8 and make him hate it the year ralf won it.... Guy played dead perfect for the cash.... Ran 12-14 racks in their race to 25..... Amar had no chance of touching this guy.... Never heard anything of him since.... Thought he'd be a champion....

+1

I didn't like Rodney comin in.... I loved him to go deep in open.... Would've loved to see him take down #2.... By far my fav to watch.... Fast and loose lefty that always looks like he's taking a stroll regardless of what's at stake.... My game looks alot like his when in stroke.... Just about 4-5 balls below :D
