Have any calluses?

I've got a slight callus on the inner side of my thumb on my back hand from shooting. Anyone else have any? Think this indicates too tight a grip or is it normal if you shoot a lot?

I noticed that too once I switched to a wrapped cue. I don't hold the cue very tight at all, just my thumb and index finger. I would say it's from the cue pivoting with every stroke.

Back when I played alot and was using a meucci, cleared over wrap, I had a bit of a slip stroke and never got calluses like that.

I have a few from recovering tables. Definitely a case of gripping the pliers too tight but those hardwood rails really hang on to staples.

I've never gotten one from the cue and I play 5-6 hours a day.

When I played allot I always had one on my bridge hand where my index figer layed on my middle finger as it pinched the thump. Can still see a wear spot of whiter skin.

I mostly get calluses on my ass. It's from sitting and watching my opponent going eight and out on me all the time.

Yep...but I was too chicken-sh!t to ask...only because of the following quote:

Definitely gripping "something" too tight.

See above reasoning! :embarrassed2:

I didn't get a callus, but I did get bloody freakin' knuckles!

This was funny!

Rather embarrassing when my then new gf felt my callus, in the palm of my hand, and asked if it was from work.
