Having trouble deciding on design of custom

Hi All,

I am having a custom cue made by Chris Nitti and I have the colors I want down but I am having a hard time deciding on what kind of design I want. On the forearm I am thinking of doing 4 points with black, dark blue, blue, and white veneers. On the butt I just can't decide on anything.

I am also no artist and was hoping the community out there might be able to throw me some links or even help with drawing up something that I can go with. I have tried google images and looked on many sites for ideas but this is becoming harder and harder to find something I want.

If I may make a subtle suggestion......let the cuemaker decide. Show him some cues you really like, give him an idea of what styles you dislike as well. He has your color choices and he'll know what looks best to augment them. Simply give him a max number on your budget and let him do his thing. I assure you the guy has seen tens of thousands of more cues than you have and he knows what looks great together and what looks like crap. Plus cuemakers have tons of ideas always running through their heads that they're just dying to try. I say trust the guy and enjoy the surprise when you first see it.

This. Give the guy a general idea and let him run with it. He's able to sell cues for a reason. Give him a bit of leeway and I doubt you will be disappointed

I concur with all of the thoughts above. When Chris makes me a cue, he usually has ideas and visions that top anything I come up with. It's always a collaborative effort with me starting out telling him my ideas and him making them better.

Check out the pics on my page. All the cue design pics are done on Excel. I search the web for wood grain images and save the image. I created shape on Excel and apply the wood grain image as the color/image for each shape. Works well...
 
You could never go wrong with a Gus or George Titleist Tribute.

I am going through the same thing. I'm getting Walter Kelly to make me a cue. I know the style but things Luke the joint runs I'm just letting him decide. He is giving to send me some options but I'm going to let him go with a few things.
