Just wanted to show my first vertical pocket. Vertical meaning I can mill the Diamond's pocket on the top of my caps. I made a HCIM (Hand Controlled Inlay Maker) and milled this last night. Look good, I missed the line-up marks. I had a chance to re-adjust, but, I didn't notice I was off till after I finished the pocket.. :scratchhead: :nono:
Just gotta notch the pocket's radiused corners for the Diamond's sharp edges. ;)

I got another set-up that mounts directly on my Indexing Head and can mill the pockets while doing the splicing and other mill work all in the same setting.

Cool.
Isnt this stuff a lot of fun ...

Thanks for posting and sharing your experience.

Lining up inlays is always something you want to spend a LOT of time on to make sure you got it right.
There usually is no second chance.

Diamonds for TAD

Here's the 2nd set of Shaft Caps I made with inlays on top. These Caps are for a Collector's TAD Cue.
Did this MOP Diamond with my Inlay Maker..
Just sprayed it yesterday...
