I know the feeling....

Buy a cheap cue with a cheap 1x1 case (total under $100) and throw it in the back of th car for situation like these... Just install a decent tip on the cue and you're good.

Thats what i do. Ive got a jj sneakey pete in the trunk with a kamui tip on it at all times. its for those unscheduled stops. it saves you alot of headaches.

theirs no reason to not take your cue in. all the wanna be pool players usually are carrying some peice of crap from wal mart anyways, so its not like ur the only one with a two peice cue.

I don't know of a single competitive archer that doesn't try to use the best arrows he can buy.

I'd rather play, not fight with the equipment.

I have seen people pocket balls with house cues. More than once.... no really..... :grin:

Last decent pool hall I was in was in Bangkok- they had all brand-new Cuetecs- sure, not the best cues in the world, but darned acceptable for house cues- they rolled straight, too.

I change cues all the time and even play with off the wall cues if I can find one with a good tip. But there have been times when I couldn't for the life of me find a cue that felt right or just felt off and I wasn't able to shoot a lick....but then again I can't shoot a lick anyways so ...never mind

Schick Broomstick

Got a buddy, Snag, in Shreveport, LA that plays with a 2 piece Billy Schick broom fairly regularly.
I hit a couple balls with it...plays better than a house cue but the broom straw bristles bother me.
