Nice shoes! From his size, you would have thought that he needed some pretty serious platforms in order to play well at that age but apparently not.

I remember seeing Ronnie's name regularly in the last 16 or last 32 of pro-ams when he was about 13 (there were typically 128 or occasionally 256, entries). At the time I was reading all these 'how to play snooker' books written by top pro's. They were all telling you important it was to stand in a certain way, to get your elbow vertically above the cue etc. I asked a friend who was active on the pro-am scene how O'Sullivan did it, whether he was very tall for his age. Apparently not. He was standing a bit awkwardly, stretching, cuing arm out to the side. But the balls went in...
