I know that an electric bill can be outragous so what temp do most of you keep your shop in the winter???
did you buy the suntwin 1500?J&D CUSTOMS said:I keep mine between 70 to 75 degree's. I recently purcheased an awesome heater that a local store brought in special by semi-truck. This thing is nice. It runs on 110 standard outlet, heats 1000 square feet, and says it operates on less energy than a Mr. Coffee. And it's super quiet. All I had to do was plug it in and that was it. Infrared technology. It has been as low as 29 degrees here and my shop is toasty at 72. Can't beat it.
It was made by the Sunheat Company. Says it will save you 35% on your heating bills. Cost was around $500.00 bucks.
Just thought I'd share. And the darn thing has a 3 year warranty to boot!
Thanx ,

The info I have is the address that is in the manual that came with it.
S.M.V. Inc.
3724 Arch Ave.
Grand Island , Ne. 68803
1-800-567-1545
The companies name is Sunheat. They do not have an email address on the box or in the manual. But I tell you guys , this thing is worth every penny. It works great. Can't wait til my next heat bill , bet it goes down in half. Had it a couple weeks , runs great , heats awesome , and keeps the shop at great temps. It does have a thermostat also. Thing has a lifetime filter , seems pretty cool. I would definately check it out.
Thanx and hope this helps,

i have a shop that is about 400 sq.ft...i have a natural gas direct vent radiant furnace..it has 2 elements 35,000 and 55,000 btu and no fan..i went with no fan so in case of a winter electric outage it still radiates heat no matter what..i super insulated the walls and ceiling..plus i have 2 layers of "Reflextic" on walls and ceiling...this is aluminum foil on both sides with 2 layers of air bubbles in between..this reflects heat back into my shop....since the furnace has NO FAN i don't have to worry about any wind when i am spraying on finishes..i keep my shop at 70 degrees.but when all the lights are on ect.it adds to the heat.if i know i won't have any projects for a long time i keep it at 40..so it is well worth it to super insulate.....i hope you do well.Merry ChristmassJBCustomCues said:I know that an electric bill can be outragous so what temp do most of you keep your shop in the winter???
