Helena Beats Siegel 8-5

Women coming out of gate strong

Monica also had 3 B&R's in her first match. I hope the ladies keep this up to show once and for all that women can compete on an equal playing field with men...this would be a huge breakthrough in professional pool. Not that I have anything against the male players, not at all, but in a sport where it has been debated for years why..between men and women players and if they are able to truly compete with one another, it would be nice to see that they could. Technically, there is no physical or mental reason or rationale why they should not be able to compete as equals.

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!

One of the nicest ladies in pool beats one of the biggest loud mouths.

I knew this day would come!

That will hold true until they play hard breaking Filipino pool players like
Django Bustamante, Ronnie Alcano, and Marlon Manalo. That is were lies
the big difference between male and female players...

I'd like 2 view this whoopn, where can i view it? After that horrific thrashing by Efram, u'd think he'd be humbled or in hiding! And this is coming from a man!

I agree Holly, there's no reason in pool to stop men playing women, if we want to see who the best is, we've got to let everybody, man or woman, any age to compete. This is one of the visions i really like about the IPT.

@cuechick, check my post in the Hohmann topic.

Oh BS. The ladies are posting plenty of break and runs. Last tournament Kelly just barely lost to Dennis Orcullo and he admitted that it was really just a few shots that got him the match.

It is starting to be VERY clear that the women in this tournament are quite capable of playing STRONG sets against STRONG opponents.

Loree Jon had FIVE break and runouts against Thorsten. 5!!! How many of you have done that, on tight ass equipment against the favorite in the tournament????

I think you are all seeing that the ladies are capable of playing world class. Still, it's tough when there are only 13 or so of them against nearly 200 guys. I still see them PROVING that they are forces to be reckoned with and not light draws.

Did I mention Dennis Orcullo's name? How about some side action,
your 13 women players against the 12 Filipino pool players, if ever
they cross paths. Could I entice you with 2 to 1 odds?
