Az, this thread is a very good spirited gesture that is designed to give something back to the next generation of pool players and possibly even some of our children. In the above thread Smokey has asked that anyone who could would make a donation, of either cash or merchandise. These donations will be used to help some of the Boys and Girls Clubs around the USA. The specific Clubs have not all been chosen, so recommendations for deserving Clubs can still be addressed to Smokey, either through the above link or by PM. Smokey is a stand-up gentlemen, who has personally walked the walk and talked the talk himself to the tune of many thousands of dollars. In fact for those who live in Las Vegas, all the pool tables were recovered and much of the other equipment was donated to the Las Vegas Boys and Girls Club by Smokey.
Here is the deal, Smokey has asked for a small donation of $1.30 from those members who can afford it, or they can simple buy and ship some Billiards related equipment to one of the chosen Clubs. I certainly understand times are tough, and there is certainly no shame if anyones financial situation will not allow them to participate, but those who can please contact Smokey.
