Chinese 8 Ball is hardly played in Shanghai, except in the open bars on the street. Maybe thats why I havent met any "serious" players.

American pool seems to be for the more competitive players.

Will any of the Chinese champions gamble with Shane Van Boening in 9-ball or 10-ball? If the answer is yes, then they stand to make more than they ever could playing Chinese 8-ball.

There are some stories about Chinese players gambling with Filipino,maybe they need a chance to play with SVB.
