Hello, I am Mike Chandley of Chandleys Chalk and CueI am looking for...

Mike Chandley

CHANDLEY'S CHALK AND CUE
Silver Member
I used to make Cue sticks from 1992-1995 they were called Chandleys or Lightning Bolt (most had a lightning bolt on the Butt of the Cue).
I sold a large portion of them to a collector named Leon Kinser I had a phone number but it was disconnected I am looking for any information on where my cues might have went. Or any one know if Leon is still alive.
I am playing pool again and plan on opening a new room in NC.
any of my old friends here please hit me up. I have many great memories from the days of Chandleys Chalk and Cue in N Ridgeville Ohio. I am looking forward to many more when I open Chandleys Chalk and Cue 2 in NC.
Thanks for the help.

I'll probably never get to North Carolina, but for what it's worth, good luck in your new venture. In today's economy, it takes a lot of guts to open a new business. Wish you great success.

Thank you,
I understand pool is on the downswing in alot of places. If you ever have a chance to visit Mr Cues II in atlanta do so. You will see that some people still succeed even in a grim market. I have been around pool most of my life and I think I have a plan that will work in our area. I had one of the most succesful rooms in the Cleveland area and I like to think it wasn't by accident. My old room is still there 21 years later its called Big Daddys.
My plan is simple...get the APA involved, take care of the "players" have alot of tables 50-60 so I can offer cheap rates for todays struggling community. Have a full bar on one side and a under 17 side also. Leagues and tournaments, on bar tables and 9 fters.
Oh, and work everyday 18 hrs a day for no pay!
Hows that sound.
Not be in debt to start out.

I was just in Cleveland last week for a HS reunion. Drove by the old Chandleys site to see if it was still there. You answered that question!

Good luck in NC. I can't blame you for moving.

Is this the same place that Ewa was going to open a few years ago. I remember seeing the plans for it 5 or so years ago. I think it was going to have over 60 tables.

cue

i could be wrong, but if my memory serves me rite one of the guys had what i thought he said was a lighting bolt break cue that was really light and broke the balls great...i want to say that it had some type of dampener on the end of the butt

Hey Dave,
I have been in and out of several old hobbies over the years but right now I do nothing but play pool again, and work on opening my new room. I have heard alot of stories about you... sounds like the training days at Chandleys may have done you well hehehe. I miss all my old friends and really like hearing from them.
I still live here in NC so if your in the area sometime give me a yell!
Chris says hello also.

One more thing...the now famous name Dippy D started in my pool room did it not? Walt maybe?
