Helmstetter RCHD VIP cue info requested

I am trying to find out more about this cue
i was told it has silver inlays and mother of pearl inlays
it is an 8 point cue.

can anyone tell me about this Helmstetter cue.
was wondering what year and model and what it cost.
the joint is resin with RCHD VIP on it
and it is signed in golad by Richard C Helmstetter

i bought it off a guy back in the early 1990's
but i cannot find anything online about it

i guess your question is what its worth. not sure exact year but 80's helmstetters were good cues for the money. for the record nickel sliver rings are not silver inlays. huge difference. i saw an old helmstetter cataloge somewhere. IMHO its and average cue not worth more then a few hundred dollars 500-600$ range.
 
Helmstetter cue

These cues were sold buy compition sports in new york . I would get a hold of them .
 
Your cue is an RCH-VIP I-11. It was introduced in 1990 & I have the 1994 catalog & price list. In 1994 it sold for $1300. It was the most expencive cue that he produced at that time. It is very well made, but has no Ivory in it...JER
