HELP: Can't Find Master/Triangle Personal Chalk Holder

Hi Gang, thanx for clicking on my post. I have a friend who has been bitten by the pool bug BAD :-). She's just starting out and I wanted to put a little accesories package together for her as a gift.

Years ago Master/Triangle had these cool little Personal Chalk Holders they either sold or gave away. It made keeping your own personal cube of chalk both convenient and neat. I can't seem to find anyone selling these any more. Any suggestions? Thanx-in-advance! -Z-

There's a few places out there that sell chalk holders. Ozone, seyberts, pooldawg etc...

Not sure about like that. My local billiard store sells the metal ones like on Color of Money.

A chalk holder that is conducive to good chalking habits, rather than "drilling"

While a wonderful thought, and you deserve accolades for wanting to give rocket fuel to a new enthusiast to help her along her way of being addicted to our sport, there are better chalk holders to give her.

The one you show, with a hole drilled into the top, will "encourage" bad chalking habits -- i.e. "drilling." You'll want to give her a chalk holder that exposes the entire top of the chalk, and then personally show her how to use it -- i.e. how to "swipe" the chalk across the cue tip, and not "drill."

I'd recommend any of the plethora of personal chalk holders that also are conducive to good chalking habits, like these:

For example, the "Euro" leather chalk holders, the brown and black "leather wrap" chalk holders, the leather pouch chalk holder, etc.

Just trying to think long-term.

I guess I needed to expound on my post earlier. That holder (intent or not) is to be used "open" not closed. The hole's purpose is to easily open the thing apart. The cover fits on the back (it stacks). The chalk in the photo should be turned upside down.

Then you use the chalk as normal (swipe or brush), no drilling.

Maybe I"ll take a photo, but you can see the correct usage in the Triangle photo, 2nd from the left.

Freddie <~~~ thought the same thing until I saw someone actually using it

Yes I absolutely only use mine open...for several reasons:
1) the correct chalk application technique is impossible through a hole.
2) drilling through the hole tends screw with the ferrule and discolor it.
