Help Choose Wrap Color

white/double black spec linen wrap or white/green spec linen would be my choice
Nice looking cue, who made it?

I had my mid-90's Jensen 'bushka refinished recently. It had leather already and i went with classic 'bushka-style smooth black. Love it. Never been a big linen fan. I've owned them but i always waxed/pressed them to where i couldn't feel the threads. Nice cue. I'm thinking of getting another before Mike retires. Love it! Real classic you have there. I'm thinking about getting another as well. You know the price will go crazy once Mike retires, and everyone will want one. I've owned hundreds of cues, and can't think of one that played better than a Jensen.

Mine has the little 'JC' stamped in buttcap. I calld him one day and he asked to buy it back. Said it was from a run he made that was probably as good a cues as he's ever made. He sent a few out with Wade Crain and his stakehorse to sell. They went busted here in Tulsa and two friends of mine bought one each. Cue was given to me. I felt like i hit the lottery. Plays super good. 12.75mm w/ivory ferrules. Definitely old-school.

That black with blue would look great. If not that, white with green spec.
There is a cream with lite blue spec that I have on a bunch of cues. It always looks great. IMHO This is my FAVORITE;)
The barbell design on the cue sleeve looks great and that forearm design classic as it gets.
The jumbo stitches in the collar turned out really handsome. Is that one of Garten B. cues?

Black with Blue speck. Anything white gets too dirty. I had white with green speck on a Frey Titlist conversion and although I loved the way it looked, I hated the function. I was constantly chasing blueing of the wrap. I eventually converted to leather.

I personally don't like linen. I'd go with a Spanish bull or white and black leather.

Some of you are making me rethink my decision to change to linen.

Are you doing it for looks or for the wrap feel? I like the look of it as is, smoother and modern with that buttsleve look. It looks smooth and flowing now, if you swap out for a lighter wrap it will be more like forearam, WRAPPPP!, buttsleve, if you get what I am trying to write, it will pop out a lot more and take away from the sleekness. Maybe if the wood was lighter and with more grain and the points were more prevalent with color a lighter linen wrap would work, but for me, that design looks nice with the wrap it has.

This is one of my cues that had a smooth black linen wrap, changed to a lighter linen wrap, it looks better but I think because of the wood grain and design.

Why do you want to go to linen? Do you have a slip stroke? If you are doing it just for looks, stay with the leather and go buy a flashy shirt.
