I have an old family friend whose hands are deteriorating, which is hindering his came badly. He has extreme difficulty controlling his thumb on his bridge hand and can't make a stable bridge because of it. Does anyone here know of any hand held bridges out there that could help him? Maybe something that slips over his fingers? I've done many searches and have come up with only one item, and I don't think it would work very effectively.

Thanks in advance.

Take an old shaft and cut it down to something comfortable to hold and slap a bridge head on it.

I don't think it will be that easy but I cold make what would look like a set of brass knuckles with two half loops on top.

He would have to have the palm of his hand planted flat on the table
I can make it where there are 2 loops, one higher then the other almost like a tall bridge.
Mine would be made out of wood or phenolic you could see if someone could 3D print it.

Buy him one of the better made pool glaves and have the thumb sewed to the side of the pointer finger in either the open v bridge or to the pointer and middle finger if he plays closed bridge... You can cut the tip off the middle finger if he uses a closed bridge and he should be able to elevate the bridge as needed that way..

Hell I may do this for myself as my bridges tend to be a little suspect and I have been working on the pinoy/euro bridge where the pointer sits on the back of the middle finger and I just won't put in the due dilligence...

I hadn't even thought of making something. Maybe I'll go that way. Your idea sounds pretty good.
