I do not ask for help for just anybody but this is a good kid who needs some help to make his journey to South Africa for the junior nationals. Sergio Rivas beat him in the finals but has decided that he does not want to make the trip so they offered it to lil Joey. If you want to make a donation I am going to make a paypal account for him or you can pm me with other alternatives. Anything will help him lets get this kid to South Africa.

I usually donate to BEF, lady pros, and other pool-related happenings from time to time, but if I am reading your thread correctly, the only way to help this young man is to attend the tournament.

There is a website called gofundme.com that allows people to set up a section to raise funds for a worthy endeavor.

I would suggest this young man utilize this vehicle. He might receive more monetary support in this manner. Limiting it to Houston area attendees, he may not get enough money.

This is only a suggestion

Here is where he would begin his request to help him in his campaign effort: Sports, Teams, and Clubs on GoFundMe.com

He sure is a cute kid.

Just curious, shouldn't the BEF pay part of all the juniors' expenses to compete at the World?

They do not they gave him $300 dollars total towards the air fair and pay his entry. He only receives this when he arrives in South Africa does not get it before hand.

I don't see it. When I click the link, it takes me to an e-mail page where I am instructed to enter an e-mail.

I searched for "Joey Bourgeois," but nothing came up. :(

Try to put the link back up. Did you look at the other ones? You need to put his cute photo up.

I did find this kid, but it wasn't Joey. But it was pool-related ---> HERE

I am about to try to fix this to see what I did wrong. Thanks for letting me know.

I posted this in the tournament post you made also.

I think that more than 1/2 should go to the expenses for him, maybe pay out 1st or second at most with a trophy, plaque. Possibly ALL of the entry fee should go to him to help.

Benefit or fundraiser tournaments should not have to pay back cash to the entries, the people should go there for fun and to help.

I am playing in a fundraiser for Diabetes research with my son, all the money is going towards the fund. We get some food and fun.

Thank you to Jeremy Jones

Jeremy Jones came and supported Little Joey for his news interview. I wanted to let everyone know what kind of great guy Jeremy is for taking time out of his day driving from out of town to help support him. Here is the link from the news.
