This cue has 6 points, 3 hi, 3 lo. Looks like phenoelic joint collars. Brass 3/8 11 pin? Bocote forearm, birdseye points with purple heart accents. Looks like cocobola butt. Rings are metal and maybe bocote. I traded a decent predator cue even up for it. The guy gave me a month to decide if I want to keep it. I'm thinkin I'll keep it regardless as it plays very well. But I need a new shaft on as it has a slight warp to it. Some people have suggested a kersenbrock because of the brass pin. Any help on this one would be truly appreciated. If you want the full size HQ pics I can zip and email them to you, just pm me an address. Or if you are in central Illinois and are in bloomington some time lmk in advance I'll get you a cell #.

Mohawk was one of the first South West knockoffs. I started seeing them in around 1990 -93, I guess. I don't know if this is one or not. I'm not familair enough with them to say by looking at pics.

I couldnt find much info on mohawk cues. i did find a pic somewhere though. I know its not a very high end cue as the upper solid rings arent flush and none of the points are even. granted it plays well but it doesnt have that high quality feel that you get if you know what I mean.

I contacted ed young and he said it definately wasnts a DPK or one of his. I looked up mohawk cues in the blue book, but it didnt have any pics. It did say that they are labeled as mohawk cues and this one doesnt have any label.

I'm pretty sure they weren't labeled, may be wrong but I'm 95%sure they weren't.

Mohawk cues did say Mohawk on them. Most I've seen were in gold script I believe.

I think that we have determined this is some type of copycat cue. Granted it plays well but it was not a good trade for the cue. Thanks to any that have tried. I still would like to have a better idea what this cue is.

I am interested in purchasing this cue

Hey let me know if the stick is for sale. Thank!

check with mike at omega billiards he had some made overseas and it looks like a early one

ditto Bill...i think its a newer import omega...especially with the mix of silver and wooden ringwork

its not a mohawk tho (i still have a couple actually) as the buttcap on them was flush and didnt have a recessed lip and the bumper was a lot different....they also didnt mix silver ringwork with wooden ringwork....both mohawks that i have, have phenolic inserts in the shafts too.....

mohawks are great playing cues tho...

you might want to reconsider your trade for the predator...;)
