A buddy of mine got this cue from a guy that didn’t have any money to pay his bet. He was shooting with this cue with a broken butt sleeve. Do you guys have any idea who the maker is? I think I’ve seen the logo before but it’s hard to make out with how little of it was left. The pin is 5/16x18 and I took the weight bolt out to help id it. It has a large standard screwdriver slot and is tapped for a small screw that holds the bumper on. Thanks in advance for any help!

I think the logo is of a stick figure with the circle being his head and the pic shows his elbow and Cue? I’m pretty sure it’s a cheap import but I know some of you know a LOT more than me.
 
Thanks for the help. It’s definitely a Palmer PB-7. Now does anyone know anyone that does reproduction Delrin butt sleeves? If not, I’ll just make one for it.

I do not believe that is Delrin anyway.

What you really need is the reproduction logo. Check in the cue maker forum.

and since an i.d. was requested,I suppose it should be mentioned it was made by Adam.
 
It's actually hard to tell what that buttplate (not buttsleeve) material is made of. I don't think it's Delrin either, but here is a pamphlet picture. I've never seen any other material other than Delrin that was that light white in color. If Delrin, it would have to have taken a hell of a whack against the floor to break it. I've never broken a piece of Delrin, but it probably wouldn't look like the insides of that buttplate.

To answer the question though, any cue repairman could put a new buttplate on, probably using Ivorine, or some similar material.

In the description of these Palmers, it says it is a Delrin butt cap but it doesn’t seem like Delrin to me either. I’m going to replace it myself. I just need to try to keep it as original as possible and find a Palmer logo.

Hey Jayman. Check out this neat old Rempe Adams cue I put a ferrule on a couple of weeks ago. It is a neat old cue!

One of those went cheap on ebay recently and I missed it. Kicking myself. It had no logo but looked original and in nice shape. I knew what it was but got caught up at work and missed the snipe.

I had a dear friend Burt Kellerman, (who passed away several years back) I would go to his house to visit and play show and tell with the latest cues we had acquired. Burt acquired far more cues than I did and generally in the upper end.
Anyway on his mantle obove the fire place was a plexiglass display case the held four cues, a very rare Huebler, a Blabushka, one that rotated here and there, and an Adam AH-37 Galaxie. this was back when eBay was relatively new and aol was "the internet"
So I just had to have that beautiful Galaxie! after working out a deal for it I started looking for accent cues to go with it. It grew from there. I also collect some other cues as well but The early Adam cues were the first ones I collected wit a brand specific theme.
Now I collect box cues...Boxes and Boxes of cues! Lol
 
This Palmer will be for sale when I get done fixing the broken butt cap. I hope I can at least find a water slide decal or something for it.

The owner of that Rempe JR-12 never holds onto anything very long. I’m sure he would be interested in selling it too?
