Help identify an old McDermott?

Can someone assist w/ identifying the model number of this old McDermott? I made a deal for this last night at the pool room. I was surprised at just how great this cue played. I know the first two owners of this cue, both good players. The work in the cue is phenomenal.....more like a custom than mass production cue. Points/inlays are sharp. The leather wrap is great. That big pin hits so good. Came w/ three shafts. Why isn't McDermott still making all of their cues like this? Thanks.

Nice cue. Enjoy. McDermott still makes amazing players. I can tell.

Added a heavier weight bolt and brand new Predator 314 last night. Combined w/ that big pin she plays so good it is ridiculous. First McDermott I've ever owned...who knew?

been using D series cues since I was a teenager, they play great.

Andy.....knew

great cue....one of my favorite production cues ever made....cgs

D Series

What a class line of cues that still play great to this day.
They don't make them like this any more!

For future reference, McDermott has a site setup to help
identify their "retired" pool cues. See it at the link below:

Disclaimer: don't pay too much attention to the valuations

Anybody shooting pool in the '80s who weren't part of the Meucci Mafia, that's who. McDermott D series cues are monster players, great, great hit. I had three that I sold to fund higher end cues; none played better. I still try my little brother's D-6 out when we shoot, it's like your first girl friend. ;)
