Help identify this Joss Cue

I recently picked up this cue at a local pawn shop. Right place right time. And I have not been able to find another on the net with even close to the same butt inlays. Anyone know the Joss model? The Serial Number starts with D03 but I can't find a Joss D-Series anywhere. Thanks in advance for any info.

There is no "D series" per se. In some cases the letters match a year I think, in others a model line made for a distributor. I've never gotten the serial number thing straight with them. The numbers are random...the letters, never made a lot of sense to me.

The best would to email pics to JOSS and the serial number. They will tell you exactly what it is and when it was made.

I feel like I have seen that model but I don't remember where. It's not in the JOSS archives. I think it's a fairly recent model, but not for sure.

Nice find. I like the cue.

Found out it is a 2004 P-28 Joss Custom

Joss emailed me back and let me know the cue is a 2004 P-28 Custom, only 50 were made. Not a bad pickup for $10 at a local pawn shop. In the right place at the right time I guess.

Yes only $10.00. I didn't even expect to find a cue in the case for 10.00 but was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure they had no idea it was a Joss. The Joss name is not on the butt only on the steel joint and if you don't look closely you miss it. It also on the bottom rubber but the white had worn off so again not easily noticed. Not a Joss shaft, but I can get an original for 170.00 or less. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time, for once in my life!
