Help identify wood in this Rich Q pls.

Hoping someone would identify the wood in this Rich Q forearm. Also please look at the ferrule. I think it is original but I haven't seen any like this color. I know the older cues had black ferrules but this looks like purple PVC?

The original owner said he bought the cue new for $60 in the middle '60's and it is all original except for the tip.
The cue still has the Rich Q sticker on the forearm (badly worn) and the 19 oz weight sticker on the buttsleeve. The best part... it is still dead straight after 40+ years!

rosewood of some sorts, Honduran or Yucatan, but sure its rosewood.

The wood could be bubinga, or a few other rosewood/rosewood like woods.
But, the wrap sure looks like Cortland.

BTW - all you youngsters that complain about "slick" irish linen wraps,
this is they way they used to be done before the days of 'pressed and polished'.

Has some of the look of Zebra wood from the pictures.

Thanks again the inputs. I thought maybe Zebra or Olive but I don't know what was popular back then other than rosewood.

zebra wood????? have doubts. its not stipped enough and seems the wrong color. olive wood nope. bubinga??? the small black flecks seem to be more dalbergia than anything else(my opinion)
