Help identifying a joint?

Got a cheap cue here in the UK, looking to buy a new shaft but not sure about the joint type. I've taken a few pictures. If anyone can help, I'll really appreciate it!

I'm going to offer a different answer, that being 5/16x18.
What causes me to suggest this is that the SS joint collar is normally 1" long. If the EXPOSED pin were of an equal length to that joint collar, you'd be counting 18-TPI.
Another way for you to determine is to lay an inch scale next to the pin and count the number of threads in that 1".
Since there is not 1" of thread exposed, count the number of threads in a 1/2" and double that number.
What might have caused Kenny to say 14-TPI is that you rarely see a piloted 18 thread.
Hope this helps.

It looks like a 5/16-18 thread to me. But who can say for sure from just a picture? Rarely do the cheap cues use 5/16-14.

Thanks everyone for the replies. There's a little over 3/4 of an inch sticking out, and I think I count 9 in half an inch (thanks KJ). It looks like there are more threads in this pin than there are in the 14 example from CueCaps, so I think that must be right.

I was a bit concerned that this cheap Chinese-made, English-branded cue might use a non-standard joint. I'm looking for a 12mm shaft, regular deflection. $150 or less with delivery would be good. I'll post in the wanted section, just saying in case any of you guys has any shafts lying around!

Thanks again!

You're very welcome. I'm glad that we were able to help.
I was really hoping to avoid converting to Whitworths and British Standards if you know what I mean.

You may find a suitable shaft available in the W/FS section.
I wouldn't worry so much about it being piloted or not. The pilot on that cue serves no practical purpose anyway.
