Hello everyone,
I'm wondering if any of you can help me in identifying the model and valuing this cue that I believe is a Shamrock. I was given this by an ex friend as a half-baked attempt to repay a debt for a loan i generously gave over a year ago. So i'm stuck with this thing. I don't play pool, so I'm hoping to identify it, price it, and sell it accordingly. Ive done some precursory searching on the internet and am not having any luck beyond the brand, which as I said I believe to be Shamrock. He claimed this was custom made...I'm not sure if it indeed is. Pictures are included below.
Thank you.

A fair asking price for the cue in it's current condition is $200 or a little more. The cue is a production model and many were made, I have sold a number of them out of my business, I was selling them for around $270 new.

Take Care

Hello everyone

Thank you very much for your quick and helpful replies. I'm surprised at how much activity there is on this board.

1. I did follow a previous posters link and see that it looks quite similar to the spalted gecko model. Ive noticed that that webpage seems to indicate this cue has appreciated in value. Is this some type of marketing hype or do actual market sales verify this? Also, this is slightly used, I'm not sure how much this will affect the real market price. I am about to fire off an email to the McDermott employee Nine Miler posted. Thank you very much for that.

Also:
2. Some of you might have noticed I double posted this. Minutes after I posted this, I realized myself it was a McDermott. I attempted to edit the title, but found I could not. So I made a new thread, then tried to delete this one in the interest of not clogging up the board. Turns out you cannot do that either! My apologies for that

mostly marketing hype. You could probably get somewhere between 1-200 on ebay for that cue. I'd guess 200 would be about the going rate, though cue prices are subject to the buyers more so than most toys.

I am not looking to buy the cue but i have been a mcdermott deàler for many years. The $200 price is close..the cue is too new to be truly collectible, but the gecko is popular. If you think it is worth more, put it on eBay at no reserve amd see whst it brings...u only need 2 people who want it.
