the script lettering only denotes the time period in which it was made. the meucci originals logo is older thatn the script and i believe there are two versions of the sript writing, one smaller than the other (but i am not sure about that), and before the originals logo there were others. you can look in the blue book of cues to get the full list, i don't have mine with me or i'd look.
as far as the color of veneers, and the whole cue for that matter, meucci did not always use the same colors. the stains on the wood, the veneer colors were all subject to change on any given cue.
my opinion would be it is the m series. the 84 seies would have had the meucci originals logo and it was just made with different color veneers.
