Here is a list of some of the other players I wrote down that participated: Gary Spaeth, Joey Spaeth, Jimmy Mataya, David Howard, Ronnie Allen, Howard Vickery, Bobby Johnson (Richmond, Ky), Floyd Skeans, Jimmy Reid, Charlie Jones, Mike Massey, Terry Bell, Keith McCready, Jay Swanson, Hornbeck, Greenwell, Connors, Jimmy Hodges, Sid(?), Moughey, Clarence Frye, F. Sloane, Gary "Bushwacker" Nolan, Geraldine Titcomb, J. Benderman and Terry Clark.

A lot of those people I didn't know or remember. A few i do remember, Steve Cook, Eddie Burton, Steve Oaks. don't know if they played in the tournament. Cornbread Red came and watched but didn't play. Ronnie Allen and a guy from Tenn. named T.R., booked the matches, they made Hopkins a 6/5 favorite in the 1st. match (double elimination) Buddy won it.
His 4th in a row from the winners side.

YES, I don't think he was to tall but weighed a lot. I believe he had bought the rights to the black molly logo after they quit making them and was selling them filled with caffine at the truck stops.
