help! keeping a pool table in my garage in az Q's?

just wondering if anyone had any opions on keeping a table out in my garage in phnx, az.?in the summer the heat gets to about 110 or more outside, so inside a garage i imagine it gets a tad hotter!was wondering if a dry heat would affect my table at all? any suggestions? opions? anything is greatlly appreciated. by the way i am new here and somewhat new to the game of pool. so hello and thnx again:D
 
Insulate the garage the best way you can.
Get a humidifier and a fan. You don't want your cushions to turn hard in a month.
 
I plan on putting a fan in there, do i need to leave the fan on all the time? and what do i need a humidifier for? all info is appreciated
 
If your garage has a window in it then you can put in a window unit Air Conditioner.

I doubt you have to worry about a humidifier in Arizona much. Even if you leave the table outside.
 
I had a table in the garage (peoria) for years. I never did anything to the table. As far as I could tell, the heat did nothing exept piss me off.

My garage had the oven effect. It was 115 outside and in my garage, I was sweating it out at 125 one fine summer day. Still never stopped me from hiting balls. But it was painful to be so hot at 2am.

I am so glad I am out of that miserable heat. Its just a couple weeks from A/C season. Enjoy :)
 
My friend has a table in his garage and Captive Bred is right, it's brutally hot. No matter what you do, you cannot escape the heat. As for the table, nothing has happened to my friends. Peace, John.
 
well thnx, I appreciate the info! I live right by peoria, we have been in az for just about 2 years "military" this will be my 3rd summer here, and man does it get hot! yeah the oven effect sucks, i plan on puting a ceiling fan in my garage, so i hope that helps, otherwise during the summer i will be in my drawers shooting pool! hope the neighbors won't mind! :) well that takes a load off my mind, i was worry for a sec that i was going to have to try and convince the wife to let me put it in the house! lol thnx again

Well hell, all you had to do was say so. I take back my opinion that I gave earlier. In Arizona, the heat is so bad that a pool table will fall apart if it is in the garage. A table MUST be in the house for this reason.:D What time should I be there to hit some balls in the house?;)
 
I'd take another poster's suggestion and look into getting a window-mounted A/C. A swamp-cooler is another option.
