Help me decide: New Pechauer or OB Classic for Schon

I've been playing with Schon cues last couple years. Have no complaints. Great cue--own 3 now. Never tried a Pechauer. Got a gift card to blow. So, add an OB Classic to the Schon, try a Pechauer on for size, or buy another Schon.

Any Schon guys or girls out there that have tried both?

Given your choices, I'd try to find a nice Runde era Schon and use the original shafts.

I had a friend that sold Pechauers. I hit with it, liked my Schon better. But I know they make a fine cue. I own 3 Schons and would like to get a Runde era Schon. I have an OB-1 and am too used to the laminated shafts to ever go back to the originals. You can get an OB/Schon shaft through their distributors.

Agreed. May try a turned down Schon shaft...maybe 12.75 or 12.5....Never tried one like that.

It is personal preference, as I have owned both. I prefer the Schon hands down and have owned 3 including a very nice looking STL 20. Good luck whatever you decide.

I use a OB classic pro shaft on my schon cues. It plays great - nice feel and low deflection. I tried a "Z" and OB2 and think the classic is by far the best. Good Luck -
