Just wondering if you considered using a G10 Radial pin.

I like your brown idea if it's a light brown to reflect the brown in the BEM (am I the only one who sees brown in there?). And brown and black are a nice combination generally (black and tan, anybody?).

Whatever you do with it, it's a nice piece o' lumber.

Radial pin, grey buckhorn collars, grey buckhorn buttcap, and a nice ivory chain link ring in bacote with 2 silver rings above the buttcap......

Brown phenolic thin ring between two thin brass rings would look sharp. I like brass against ebony - I find silver draws the eye to the ring too much instead of what's between them.

Have you thought about another exotic wood like a cocobolo or bloodwood ring between brass, or possibly some funky dashed ring based on coco or bloodwood? I love bloodwood against ebony, too.
