Help me find the right table?

I am building a 20' x 30' building next to my house and want to put a table in it. I live here in Texas and the building will have window air conditioner and base board heating. It is rather humid here. I am putting the table on a concrete slab coated with epoxy paint.

I want to play in Pro tournaments and compete here in local tournaments now.

My budget is around $5k for the table and $1k for accessories. (I have sticks)

My question?

  1. What size table should I get? (leaning 4.5' X 9')
  2. What cloth should I get?
  3. Where should I buy it from? (near Austin, TX)

I want to buy new if possible. Reason is that I don't trust buying used stuff. I have been burned too many time in the past. Thanks for the input though.
 
If you want to play in pro tournaments you MUST buy a 9' Diamond. That is what all the pro tournaments are played on now.

They cost brand new about 5k, plus delivery. So that is in line with your budget.

There are two model: the "Pro-Am" model, and the "Professional" model. Both are within a few hundred dollars of each other. Both play the same. They have slightly different aesthetics. The Pro-Am model is usually 1 piece of slate and the Profesional model is usually 3 pieces of slate.
 
Your spending good money for a room, it's just silly not to get a Diamond Blue Label.
Give Glen a call, maybe you can get a table that was a tournament/demo table.

The blue label is the current table, don't worry if it's a little used. The only decision you should make is what size pockets you want. Over all I would recommend 4.5"

Don't be like Rob. Just get a Diamond:thumbup:
 
Great advice. I just hate that the Blue Diamond website don't have prices listed? and they don have local dealers? How do I make sure I get a qood quality install if I order one and have it shipped to me?
