I've got a Viking F-99 (now discontinued), a basic cue that has served me well, I've decided I want to go with a low-deflection shaft. For the skeptics, yes I know, the cue doesn't make the man
. I'm considering either buying a Predator sneaky pete (Uni-loc with a 314-2), or either putting a Predator or an OB-1 on my Viking.
The Viking has a quick-release implex-to-implex joint. I like how it hits although honestly I don't have too much to compare it with. I've tried a 314 on a Predator SP and I liked the way it hit too. I haven't tried an OB-1 but I'd be willing to try it out based on all of the reviews I've read. I may even be leaning that way if I decide to use the Viking since I'm kind of on the fence and want to try it. I don't think I could really go wrong either way. What do you think about using the Viking with one of these shafts? The lower cost is a factor but I'm trying not to let that sway me too much. Other opinions?
