found this on the internet........Treadway Custom Cues was started by Josh Treadway, a long-time apprentice of the legendary cuemaker and good friend Jim Buss. He is now forging his own design ideas and cue-building techniques to a new level of creativity and ingenuity. The first requirements of all Treadway Custom Cues are playability and craftsmanship, which Josh feels are only a few of the paramount requirements necessary to create a quality custom cue. Treadway Custom Cues became a voting member of the American Cuemakers Association in 2012 and a displaying cuemaker of the International Cue Collectors Show in 2015.

Here's the website to the Tonkin..........https://www.tonkincustomcues.com/
hope that helps.

Wolfgang. He clearly possesses style and good taste. He knew it would be hard to go wrong.
eddie only wolfgang can confirm your supposition. but i agree he does have style and good taste in those 2 cues ( i dont know him at all so i cant go beyond that...😂
wolfgang
you are a trusting sole
i have a cue to sell you that i know is worth $10,000 but since you are a nice guy
i will sell it to you for $7,000.
trust me
its a great deal....😂
all kidding aside
not sure i would take the word of a potential buyer on the value of cues he wants to sell or trade
unless from past experience or strong reputation showed he could be trusted
i hope you came out fair in this trade

Hi bbb,
I was told the value by the tradingpartner, but...
Wolfgang I wield a plain sneaky-pete for years, (I like to have money for food AND
shoes.) I’ve flipped cues. If I had the custom cue cash, two shafts would be a big deal. Especially a guy use some wonky pin.
Did you receive any cases in the deal? If you did that’s a sweetener!
A nice cue needs a nice case.

With just a little bit of research found out that Jim Buss was President of the Cue makers association and that Josh Treadway was a long time apprentice of Jim Buss, the Treadway cue is high end, but that is different than what is the cue worth, your cues have a very traditional look, those who are looking for that will no doubt be willing to pay more for that style cue, someone looking for a more modern cue maybe not as much, both cues are from recognized American Cue maker Association builders, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you just find the right buyer who has the eye for those cues. Good Luck

Both are great cuemakers and highly sought after. Both of these guys were “the best new cuemakers” about 10-15 years ago. Pete Tonkin has since really expanded his cue repertoire into highly intricate work. So I assume this 4-pt is early work. Josh has mostly stayed in this cue’s style… the nouveau traditional.

How much are they worth??? What did you trade them for? That’s how much they are worth. I’ll toss out a number of $4000 for the both as a shot in the dark. I’m not sure Pete makes plain 4-pt cues anymore.

ill throw out 800 for the plain jane and 1800 for the ebony. as used cues of course but in excellent condition.

and of course everyone has their own opinion.

Remember this…..and I’m sure everyone that’s commented already understands but it doesn’t hurt
to spell it out plainly for every reader…value is a fluid subject...supply and demand….cue prices are
based upon cue maker’s reputation, workmanship, cue condition and design appeal but most of all,
scarcity and rarity. A basic fundamental approach is supply and demand and that is never constant.
The aforementioned pertains to the secondary resale market in contrast to ordering a new pool cue.

I wouldnt give more than $750 for either of them.

Nice cues, but sneaky petes are $400-500 these days and these arent much more than that.

Cues are like women: certain ones can cause certain men to go absolutely bat shit crazy. No rhyme or reason, just have to shake your head and marvel. Best pool cue buying advice is to buy what you like. Folks practicing this approach will never go wrong.

The Tonkin Cue is far from a Sneaky Pete and even as a fire sale, it’s worth at least $400-500 more
than your initial toss. However, both cues only have one shaft so the typical value would be $250 or
so less than if than a cue with two shafts which is more common with both of these cue makers.

I've known Josh since he was a young punk doing odd jobs at the pool hall.
Saw him maybe 2 months ago giving him a heads up on me, since he's working on a special repair job.
For some reason I let out that I really wanted one of his cues even though I may never play another game of pool.
That's not an end of life comment.. It's just possible I won't.
So he says there's times when a deal falls apart in the end. Maybe I can buy one of those if it happens....

Oops……the Treadway is around $1700 - $1800 as some already observed. Can’t tell
much about the forearm because the picture is dark. How many veneers and colors?
