I have been working on some of my faults, I have stopped pulling up on my shots, I have stopped moving my head from cb to ob and back. But when I Video myself, I notice I will make the balls that I am shooting at, but my hand on the back butt will come out away from my side after impact. Not on all shoots just the harder ones. Any ideas ??

thank you
Robert

try closing your eyes when you are ready to shoot (after you are satisfied with your aim and stance) and see what happens.

worked for me

I say stop playing for a while, alone or otherwise and really take time to work on you mechanics shooting every shot nice and slow.

you can set up short shots (like across the table) or no shots (just lag the ball down table). Clean, smooth and slow strokes so you get a feel for what it feel like. Keep the camera running and before long you'll notice the muscle memory, where the hand stays more tucked in. You can also try turning the wrist inn to help keep the line straight.

If you do the above you will notice a change in your game which if you ask me (go ahead, ask me so i can continue) is the hardest part in pool "adapting adjustments made to you game" as you will not pockets balls and such like you did before and probably loose more games than normal, but if you really want to improve then this is the journey that you must make.
