Help - Tell me something about this cue

Hi All,

a friend of mine bought this cue at a pawn shop in Las Vegas, he paid $180 for it. (Yes, that famous pawn shop on the tv show.)

From these pictures can anyone tell me anything about this cue? How old it is, what it might be worth, etc?

It's a Helmstetter...not sure of the age, but could be a newer production one.

I leave the cue stuff to the pros on here but I do enjoy looking at peoples good finds.

Helmstetter obviously but if I saw that one for under 2 hundred, I would have grabbed it also.

Looks like a nice find to me. And whatever it is worth over and above, it is worth every penny that was paid for it.
