Help with cue ID

A friend in the league I play in has this cue. He told me that he has had it since the 70's? would like to know more about it. Please help.I will have to cue until this weekend when I can put a tip on it so if I need more photos I can do so. Thanks in advance for any help.

I bought the one on eBay. I must say, the cue suprised me, its nicer then I expected. Plus I am a sucker for segmented turning.

Just curious though, how collectable/valuable are Saul cues? I dont want to sell it but I was thinking about having it refinished.
