Ever see a cue signed by him, as opposed to the typical RK logo?Ron Kilby I think
Think it’s actually 02. The seller accepted a fair offer.I saw that one too, up for sale. I wondered the same thing. I can see the year is 03, no idea on signature.
bad pic. can't tell.Just bought this Titlist conversion. Anyone recognize the signature? Any help is appreciated.
Almost every Kilby has the screw on the shaft. He makes mostly billiard cues. Don't think its a Kilby.Zoomed in picture
Yeah, the price looked too high for me. Glad you got it at fair price.Think it’s actually 02. The seller accepted a fair offer.
You're right, Kilby mostly focuses on carom cues. However this may explain why the joint looks "interesting". Can't tell if its flat faced or piloted and its got an odd pin. It's just a guess, but the K does kinda resemble his and its 5 letters and the only Ki--- name i can think of without digging.Almost every Kilby has the screw on the shaft. I found pics of Ron's stuff and none were signed like that. You're right, Kilby mostly focuses on carom cues. However this may explain why the joint looks "interesting". Looks like he signed most his cues “hicks sticks”. The only example of his signature on a cue I could find looks kind of similar, but his H is differentCould that be an H and not a K- if so, Jeff Hicks signed his cues on the forearm since 1993- 3/8 10 joint screw and flat face joint? Could be a Hicks cue. Jeff Hicks -was located in Stronghurst IL.
You do realize printing isn't the same as cursive?Looks like he signed most his cues “hicks sticks”. The only example of his signature on a cue I could find looks kind of similar, but his H is different
Yes, I’m aware. Lol. But generally speaking from what I’ve seen, cue makers are fairly consistent with how they mark their cues. I think it’s unlikely that he signed some in cursive, engraved others with his name in print, and also marked some Hicks sticks. You do realize printing isn't the same as cursive?
According to the cue blue book Hicks did change how he marked his cues and did move to Forearm signature - so your cue could very well be a Hicks cue / is it a 3/8 10 joint pin? It seems that was his standard.Yes, I’m aware. Lol. But generally speaking from what I’ve seen, cue makers are fairly consistent with how they mark their cues.
