Help with Schon ID

Ring game?

I personally haven't seen this, what appears to be, gold lettering on a Schon before and can't find another cue like this anywhere online. I don't know a ton about Schons and am not a Schon enthusiast, but am intrigued by this cue. Here's a link to it:

If anyone could tell me any info about it and value of one of these it would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Matt

I don't, but, I'd say if someone paid half of his no budging asking price it would be closer to its real value. In my humble opinion.

Looks to be an early to mid 90's Schon. The butt is a bit odd with that "ring"? Maybe it was repaired at one time? You could easily our some gold leaf or paint in the Schon logo...not sure why though.

Agreed! I was thinking he was ripped off on that deal when he bought it...and I was curious too if he painted the gold in there himself, but curious if it was some line I hadn't seen from Schon before. It looks like there's gold lettering vertically on the shaft too that I've never seen. I know some of the older ones have Schon in big letters horizontally.

I was able to find a model similar to the one pictured but it has small ovals in the rings. The Schon logo was also gold. The cue that I could find retailed at $565 but it had more to it.

Nice work Samantha, So $565 retail for a fancier...if you sent the Op the link you found he could use that as baraging leverage, that is if you still were interested mediocrity. The power of AZ, behold.

You guys are the best! It's great to see there are still people here who are legitimately interested in helping fellow members. And if you happen to have that link Samantha I would appreciate it very much.

Haven't seen one like this before, but with no points and minimal design it certainly would not be worth $800, more in the $400 - $500 range as someone else said. Assuming it's in good condition.

Unfortunately the cue that looks similar was a cue that we carried back in 2000 and I don't have those images available anymore. I can try and scan the picture and send you a message.
I will send it to you soon as I can. :D

My estimate based on seeing Schon cues bought and sold all the time is $300.
The case isn't worth anything, and the shaft is not in great condition.
$400 value would be if the cue is in pristine condition.
Well used plain jane Schon's do not sell for that much, and $300 is generous in this market.
