Help with TAR DVD's

Does anyone here know how to get them to go on my IPOD? I want to take them with me, but I can not figure out how to transfer them to the damn thing at all.

You'd have to rip them to your computer (in the correct format) and then store them on your ipod. Google it and you should come up with a few free programs to ouse if y ou don't already have 1.

I've heard of something called dvd decrypter...might want to google that. I believe it's free.

Also, you will need some sort of video compression software to put it in the appropriate ipod format. Xilisoft video converter works well and is not too expensive. I'm not aware of any easy to use free software out there for that....but if someone is that would be awesome.
