Help with veneers.

I'm planning on getting a cue made by a local cue maker I met the other day. If it turns out like I hope, it will be my player for many many years. I got the basic concept layed down, but I'm hung up on the veneers. I'm at least doing two (white and black), but I'm thinking of maybe doing four. I would like some opinions on what color combinations of four veneers would look good on four snakewood points in a curly maple forearm.

If you think 2 simple black and white veneers are preferable, I would appreciate your opinion as well.

My Gina has black and red veneers around snake wood points. That cue is the nuts
 
A flame combo or a classic orange/green combo both go well with snakewood.
 
Look in the local mall at mens neck ties. The stripe patterns are just about endless and may help you decide.

My player has yellow, orange, red, black flame with birdseye into rosewood reverse splice.

always like the flame veneer...
