Is this just a portable bridge for a wheelchair player? I think I have seen Aaron Aragon use one before.

There is a guy from Cleveland that makes a special bridge. I think his name is Lance Kepfler (sp). He plays at BJ's in Cleveland (lives in Brooklyn Park), and possibly sells this bridge out of Danny Vegh's. I used to have his card, but I can't find it right now. Perhaps someone here knows how to get in touch with him.

Lance plays in a wheelchair and has every available type of bridge or tool that can help a wheelchair player. I know him very well and I am sure he won't mind me giving out his # to help someone out. So here it is.

Lance Kepler - 216-459-8733
if that doesn't work call BJ's (The pool Room) at 216-671-1111
if Lance isn't there ask for Pete Vanko and he can get you in touch with Lance. In case none of the above works, Danny Vegh's Pro Shop phone # is 216-476-4800.

Here is a link to Lance's web page dedicated to the bridge.

here is another bridge system that I see many whelchail players use.
http://leonardideas.com/INDEXx.htm

here is a link to the National Wheelchair Poolplayers Association

ALSO, ther once was a company called EASY STROKER and they made a perfect bridge for players in Wheelchairs. I believe they stopped making them but they were the NUTS. I don't know if the phone # is the same but the last one I have is 800-336-7502 the fax # is 608-348-5048. The guys name is Peter Treige. He may still have a few around.

Thanks Mike. I had Lance's info somewhere and just couldn't find it. Lance is usually downstairs at BJ's playing one pocket more than he's not.

Stick,

I know there will be plenty of advice available at the big Smokey Mountain Wheelchair event in conjunction with the Smokey Mountain Shootout next month. I know you usually attend.

See you there.

Howdy All...

Hey thanks CubsWin, I knew a fellow Cub fan would think of me. ;)

Allow me to introduce myself...my name is Shorty. I am a wheelchair player who has played the game of pool since I was 11. I consider myself a decent player of 8 ball, 9 ball and one pocket, the latter being my favorite game and probably my strongest. I am now 33 and have been a wheelchair user all of my life. I have used MANY, and just about damn near ALL, bridge devices known to mankind. The one I use the most is the one I personally developed and can be made by any knowledgable welder. I will email you pictures of my bridge and some explanation on how to have someone make it. Unfortunately I am a little pressed for time and materials, but I welcome anyone to make it for non-profit use for the disabled. The "Leonard" bridge is great, but it is a bit awkward on your cue. The extendable bridges rely on your bridge being able to have a clear line to the cue ball...mine does not. It is totally portable and uses the cue as a rest. I have been playing with this bridge since I was 13 years old, and some say I play pretty sporty with it ;). I will be dropping you an email here shortly from kidshark@yahoo.com and let me know what you think of my bridge. As I said...I have honestly tried every dern bridge imaginable...and I always come back to my own. I have played with alot of the guys from the NWPA, way back in 95 when they first began. They are a great group of people and I hope to once again hook up with them for a tourney in the near future. Tell Pete Vanko I said hello if you call him...he probably knows me best as Pac Man. They say I ran em kinda fast...grin.

bridge suggestion

Probably a little late to reply but...A gentleman in our league took a telescopic golf-ball retriever, removed the cup & put one of those plastic bridges on the end. Like the ones you can get for $2 that attach to your own cue. The gold ball retrievers are anywhere from $10-$30. It seems to work out well for him & since its so compact & portable he can keep it with him while he's shooting. This is a low-cost alternative that you may find helpful.
Thanks.

to all that replied

Thanks Guyes: we got it took care of they have one now , but if any of you wont to help the children at the shepard spinal center, with tapes, books or any thing about billiards, they have web site, and am sure it would be welcomed. thanks stick :D :D :D
