Help?!

I need to know if anyone has used this style 3/8 x 8 (somewhat)Radial pin. I need a shaft retapped for this. If not, any good suggestions to remove and replace this pin without damaging the Ivory joint would be appreciated..ie..tricks of the trade..secrets you only tell your wife.....whatever...I need to do something with this quickly.
