Hemicudas, you might know

I didn't know but thank you for the info. I can only assume that he is talking about Scotty Townsend then. Nice cue.

Here is a Timmy Scruggs on EBay and the guy says he picked it up from a road player named Scotty T. Wondering if you think this was Scotty Townsends cue.

Thanks,
Koop

I e-mailed him Koop. Charlie and I are good friends. I signed it $Bill. He knows my full name. I will let you know if it is Charlie. Has 17 feedbacks, all positive. Charlie? LOL. Great guy. Lotta fun, just like Scotty. I don't recognize the cue.

P.S. Just noticed the location, cajunland, it's got to be Charlie.

goodtime charlie aka charlie brown. one of the most colorful characters you will ever run across and a top notch player.

Charlie has had more sobriquets than any other player, save Woppie. The "Brookhaven Flash", "Gigglestick", and they are all appropriate.

you know who the seller is dont you .......thats charlie owens....goodtime charlie

Cuewhiz, I don't think it is Charlie. I think it might be a Charlie "Groupie". His handle, Ogoodtime looks like our buddy Charlie Owens but I just got an e-mail from him and he doesn't know me. If it were the real Charlie he would. Charlie does have a computer but I have lost his e-mail address.

OK guys, I just got confirmation, it is Charlie. And, it is Scotty's old cue. Nice cue too. So I hear. I haven't seen the cue.

My only question about the whole thing is this.............

As well as Charlie and Scotty know each other why would the "seller" of the cue write in his description, "I think his name was Scotty T." ?

Thanks Hemi. The cajunland was why I asked you. It made me think it probably was his cue. Not to mention a road player named Scotty T.

I know what you mean though Sizl. That's one of the reasons I thought it might be some guy trying to make you think it was Charlie. Hell, Charlie is allmost as infamous/famous as Scotty, LOL.

I got a cue from Gooodtime a few years back. an old Buddy Hall model meucci that was won by Scotty. It was in real bad shape, but I only paid 40 bucks for it. Now it has been restored and Buddy signed the cue for me. Rick Howard clear coated over the name. Now it stays in my collection and ive been offered a lot more than i paid for it. I dont think Ill ever part with it

charlie owens...aka....ogoodtimes......charlie brown on the other hand is the name of a pretty good player from kentucky and yes it appears on his license that way.......juston coleman

there may be a charlie brown from kentucky but charlie owens is well known around monroe, shreveport, and east texas as charlie brown and goodtime charlie. he has busted a lot of pretty good players(and some not so good) just because you can't tell how he plays until it's too late

I'm know Charlie and Scotty pretty well I was just wondering which cue it was ..... scotty used to wrap all his cues in black electrical tape ..... Talk about crazy ..... They both are something else .... But I don't think scotty is playing the road as much as he was because he's been in jackson for quiet sometime now

How are ya Lilmspoolplaya? Good to see ya here.

You're right, Scotty played off the wall for so long he got use to it. The gorgeous sneeky he has now has, just like you said, electrical tape wrapped around the butt. I tried to talk him into using duct tape, a little more cushioning effect, lol. You gotta love the guy.

definatly a differenct approach ..... but if it works it work ...... hey if I could wrap electrical tape around my stick and play like he does .... I'd do it .... Great Player not quite right but a great player .... but as you said you gotta love the guy
