Most Cue Makers or Cue Repairman will tell you they can. But truth be told. Dieckman put most of his trusted to handle ferrule or tip repair of his cues to Joe Blackburn.

Dieckman was getting invoice from Blackburn for Tips and Ferrules repair, as Dieckman thought its was a waste of his time. to put these on his shaft. When He quit building cue.

When I first started playing pool for money I took my first road trip after a while and I went out of town about 30 miles lol. I went in this pool room bowling alley or skating rink , can't remember which. They had a list of their weekly tournaments and I went to check out their best players, Joe Blackburn s name was all over it, I remember telling myself, no Joe Blackburn lol. I met him about a year later somewhere else. We ended up playing a couple of times , I never did beat him. That was 59 years ago, seems like last year.
