Here's A twist

Five legends of straight pool missing from your list:

Gene Nagy - 400 ball runner from queens, NY
Mike Eufemia - supposedly a 600 ball runner
Jack Colavita - several top tens in world 14.1 championships
Pete Margo - one of the best straight poolers of his or any other day.
Danny DiLiberto - 400 ball runner From Buffalo, NY

I saw all of them play, and each should be given their due.

Let me clarify what I meant about Tri-State. I was not refering to the rinky dink tour but the states of NY, NJ and Conn.

The "rinky dink" tour was THE tour before the Joss tour in this area. The point is in that tournament alone most weekends saw AAA players like the Joss does now. The other point that remains is the tri-state cannot claim Mika as "its player". For Christ sake he isn't on and doesn't participate for us in the Mosconi cup.

I do not believe he was in NY in 1993. I did not mean NY born. I am sorry about the tri-state miss understanding Ithought you meant the most recent tri-state tour.

IMHO it should be born and bred in the area. Because Santos shoots sometimes out of Connecticut he is not Ct's greatest player nor would he be considered in some list of Ct's players. Half these guys are here on visa's when they are here anyways. I think to be considered "from" an area, you need to have some history there. I can see it now, Efren shoots a rack in Des Moines Iowa and someone starts saying he is Iowa's greatest player. :) Maybe for a few minutes till he leaves... lol

Mika has been a part of the new york pool scene for a while. He was a house pro at ABC & Corner. I also think he is an American citizen. I can see your point about Santos but not Mika.
