Don't let idiot comments get to you Marvel. I like your optimism. I hope you get all the money you have coming. You have to be a little forgiving towards those that have never been. I was impressed with your record with the IPT (and your European championship) and my guess is you would probably do it all over again. The experience must have been incredible. I had doubts that any money would be paid and was surprised each time another check was written. The fourth check was a real shocker, at that point I thought it was over. Good luck in collecting all you are owed.

I know if I was a little better and I had the chance to go through the IPT experience (even knowing how it has turned out) I would have loved to be part of it.

Heh, well, it was a joke. I tried to flame him a little, I'm not letting anybody to get on me anyway, don't worry. Next comment would've been; "watch your blood pressure mister!", but maybe I should watch my mischievousness again and not tease them - they are doing it them selves enough anyway..

And yes, what ever they say, the experience was really something.

About my EC?? That wasn't really something I'd have to say..

I have a hard time

believing that KT that being adopted was such a big issue to him. We have adopted twins in our family, my niece and nephew, and yes, they had a few issues, but nothing compared to the issues that KT seemed to have about it.

I suspect there were bigger underlying emotional issues within him, than the fact that he was adopted, and I seriously doubt that his fraudelant use of the credit cards had anything to do with him being adopted.

What the heck is the IPT experience, a bunch of hype and illusion? If you want to play with top players, you can do that anytime you want, just put up the entry fee and play. From what it sounded like the actual experience was not that great. Players were complaining about the playing conditions, scheduling, favoritism to some players, getting forfeited for nothing. Being forced to travel at your own expense, you may not even be able to afford, to a tournament you are not even playing in. Finally, getting stiffed and having to sweat and beg for money that is rightfully yours for many that at best will only get them even.

That's where your badly mistaken Mr.Macguy, and this is what shows a lot about the bad spirit which there have been from the start with some persons.

I don't know is it envy or just an over all negativeness in ones personality, but you've had to have a lemon in your throat and a cucumber in your ääs, if you couldn't enjoy the experience in IPT.

Of course the outcome covers the IPT in dark clouds, and maybe even someones memories, but that memory thing is one's own personal thing and the experience of the IPT should not to be remembered in a bad light only because of the antipathy towards Kevin. There's some economical pressure and lot's of dissapointments Kevin has caused, and of course I feel sorry for them. Naturally, I felt bad also, but I don't see much reasons to carry that feeling for a longer time.

And about the earlier post, about denial, I'm not denying anything.
Facts are facts, but the way you cope with them, is another thing again.

I don't know about Kevin's past and I don't care. Of course he should pay for all the bad things he have done, but he's going to have to do it anyway - like we all. And I'm not the Judge in that court, so I'm not troubling my mind too much with that. I'm waiting for my money (without any special worries or stress - it's all extra if it comes) and I'm givin it/him a chance, as there's nothing I lose in it. I'm not anybody's sucker, as I'm only gaining with my attitude.

And about the intensions, which I still concider an important issue as bashing/critizing anybody, I really do feel that his intensions were good, and so does all the other players I've talked to. I'm getting bored of repeating myself, but I (we) cannot believe that his intensions were just to "steal all the monies from the pool players (= suckers)". He mis-calculated badly, didn't keep his promises and lied/misinformed a lot, but his intentons (are/)were to build a succesfull Pool Tour, with prize money & conditions better anybody could imagine to happen.

All the theories of him only paying now so he would dodge the loop of the rope, might of course be true, and I am fully aware of that - believe me. It's just that if there's a chance you've better watch. You don't fold even you have only one out on the river, IF IT DOESN'T COST YOU ANYTHING.

Peace.

Ps. Even a fellow of mine, who participated only in the qualifiers, were praising the experience, and were not bitter at all, as he had been priviledged to have that experience, and he's proud he went for it.

Pps. About intentions, if somebody doesn't realize what the heck does it matter, I'll give you a brutal example:
1. A psychopatic person with sick intentions kills a group of people by driving with his pick up over them on a side walk - on purpose.
2. Irresponsible guy is late from work again. He is speeding and he hasn't done the annual vehicle inspection for his pick up for a couple of years. Sun is shining on his eyes and he losses the control of his car as his breaks fails in a crucial moment. A terrible accident happens and a group of people + one dog gets killed on a side walk.

Both will go to jail - that's for sure. But I think they wouldn't be placed on the same section, and that should be for sure also.

Kevin has done lot's of bad things I've understood, but I don't think he is completely rotten from his heart.

And greetings for Kevin's mother! Keep up the love in your heart!

Well, I stated myself bit poorly earlier, as I don't have the resources to find thousands and thousands of REAL doctors from this world. Heck, I'm a lazy guy, I doubt I could easily find even a thousand individuals from the city of Shanghai.

But, I'm still sure, that there are thousands of REAL Doctors, who are worse than Kevin.

Your statement is actually pretty badly over-exaggerated, unless you are referring to my skills to find these rotten doctors.

How about this one, I don't know much about titles, but I'm sure he's md or something:

.......Kevin has done lot's of bad things I've understood, but I don't think he is completely rotten from his heart.

.....and unfortunately there in a nutshell is where you're almost certainly mistaken Marvel. All available evidence points to the conclusion that KT is in fact wholly and irredeemably rotten from his heart. Setting aside political correctness for a moment and putting it bluntly you could say that the best thing his gullible mother could have done would have been to strangle him at birth. By so doing it is reasonable to assume that the lives of many thousands of innocent people in this world would have been undeniably better and the lives of very very few would have been any worse.

Your belief that he truly wanted to create a succesful pool tour, even if correct, which it may well be, does not in any way alter the probablility of the above conclusion being accurate and the only astonishing thing is that an apparently intelligent chap like yourself apparently cannot see that.

Should KT drop his title over the IPT franchise I would purchase it for the impressive sum of bottom dollar.

Yes you're probably right.....sick of listening to apologists with unsick minds giving undeserved credit or benefit of doubt to lying, cheating pieces of work like KT who, make no mistake, will continue in his same merry way as long as there are more nice but a little naive Marvels out there willing to countenance the possibility, against all rational logic, that a piece of KT's heart might be in the right place or that there has ever been or ever will be as much as one microgramme of unselfish intent in anything he has ever done.

The rest of the post stands. All the evidence screams out that Marvel is wrong and that KT is in fact wholly rotten to the core.

Sorry if the post offended.

How do you know they have been innocent, and how do you know their lives would've been better?

You're right in a way, that I do sound funny if I give you a picture that I'm giving a credit for Kevin of his "life", but that's not what I'm trying to do. That's pretty far from it, actually.

I believe, that if Kevin has made millions of selling books which doesn't help anybody (not a fact that the books doesn't help, just a general opinion, at least in this forum after Reno's disaster), it's not yet a reason to wish his mother would have strangled him as he was born.
People who are stupid enough to by this kind of books, are bying them anyway and suffering because of various reasons, not so much because of one book or the author of it. I haven't red the book and I couldn't care less, so I don't kow much about it. The millions what he has earned with it, makes people envious, because they think he doesn't earn it. Well, I think he doesn't earn it either, but as I know money without wisdom won't give you anything anyway (I don't count superficial euforia from success and materia for "anything"), so I couldn't be less envious either, or even waist my energy for anger. I'm sure he has done much more than this book, but if these rumours and stories (which you seem to believe blindly) were all true, why isn't he in jail for good already??? I thought USA is a Country with justice?

I spoke with him briefly at KOTH and saw him hug Mike after the finals, and I do not believe his heart is completely rotten. Maybe he is a 'victim' of his supra-concious mind, and he is repeating his mistakes until he learns. Maybe somebody will stab him or whatever, but even all the business mode calculativeness in his mind, I'm sure he had wished that the Pool Community would get their share also (and actually they did already - it's just the hype and the disapointment which remembered).

His way of telling lies and over-exaggerating everything, is pitiful, but if I'd see him, let's say as stepping on a plane and Kevin sitting comfortably on his first-class seat, I'd still more likely would have inner smile towards his character, rather than rush of hatred in my vains.

As Mahatma Gandhi said: "hate the sin - love the sinner"

or Socrates: "no person is evil by choice or on purpose"

meaning that when we do wrong, we are ignorant because of our ego's covering our hearts. The Spirit inside every man's heart is allways nothing but goodness.

Of course in societys we have rules and laws, and if somebody is so ignorant of the Self and then harming others - he should be behind the bars. Why is Kevin not behind bars?

BTW, Loree Jon-Jones, whom I believe is higly respected in Pool Community, stated her gratitudes towards Kevin after reading his book Natural Cures. She claimed that she had got rid of her long time and very harmful migrane because of the advices in the book. Pretty cheap prize (14.99$) for such a bliss.
If I were a millionaire and suffering from migrane (which I'm neither by the way - 'knock knock'), I would give all my possessions away if nothing else helped (and it could work actually).

And if it makes you feel any better, I'll tell you that if I'd be chosen to witness in a court about Kevin's deeds at the IPT, I wouldn't speculate about my opinions of his heart or wouldn't put much weight on the great tuna sandwhiches he offered. I would tell the court about his lies and promises from the woods, so everyone would get what they'd deserve.
If asked about the opinion about his intentions, I'd say: "probably he had some good intentions also, but from the beginning he misinformed us and didn't keep quarter of his promises..."

Markus, Good on ya, mate!!

Although we differ on our core philosophy on who and what KT is, I applaud your attitude and outlook. Some might call it naive, but if KT had a 1/4 of the character you have shown in your posts, many, many pool players would be in a very different spot.

Unfortunately for many, myself included, what kt has done is unforgivable. i suppose the key here is that whatever the outcome/aftermath, that all involved "let it go", lest it "consumes us".

I don't know

why everyone keeps going on about a good heart. The heart is deceitful above all things .... The Bible that's why God gave us a brain.

and let's end this before it gets to: It's Bush's fault for not shutting him down .... LOL

Thank's Jay.

I'm sorry to say but I didn't quite get this "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions." as I believe the intentions matters the most (the REAL intentions, no matter what you explain in your brains - even to yourself). Well, most and most, actually I believe, that whatever you do wrong, He will forgive, if you are sincere with your repentance. And you cannot fool Him with it, however good you are in infomercials or player's meetings, so that's where the heart comes into picture. You really have to be sincere from your heart, but if you are, the former deeds doesn't really matter. Maybe you'll burn a bit because of the past, but that only clenses you and the pupic hair will grow back later.

Heh, anyway, this is not a meeting of evangelists, and I'm really not so interested about Kevin's explanations at The Gate nor his position at the hell - he will get what he deserves for sure.

I'm sure Kevin will have some sweaty moments at some point anyway, and it's up to him how he'll manage. It will be a schoking moment for him, when he realizes that his mouth wont help him that time.

Hi Randy!

Well, I don't know if our philosophies differ so much. Maybe you just know so much more than I do.

Why I have been more cheerful than others with this mister Trudeau, is probably partly my naiveness, but also the feeling that by our judging mind and negative media exposure (even in this forum) we might kill, ourselves, the chance (even the slightest of the slightest chance) for the IPT to re-vitalize itself. I really do understand the feelings what there have been about Kevin, but I've been bit worried that if the organization of the IPT is working (I know - the odds are not good) for to establish the tour again, we are the biggest obstacles there is if we only see Kevin with the horns on his head and not understand the potential what there might be. Maybe the tour could be there, with money on escrow and for example Donald (Duck - not Trump) at the stage instead of Kevin "Santa Claus" Truedough.

I know this sounds naive, and that's what I many times am, but it's not like chasing the rainbow. I must remind, that after the first disappointments after Reno, many here already informed that "you suckers! you won't ever see any checks! haa haa!" which we could already see were not true. The fourth check was even for me a Huge surprise, not to speak about what the possible fifth would be.
Normally, especially with my wife or waiting food when I'm hungry, I'm not being very patient (been married for too short still - and my appetite is of a dog). But, as there have been some sparkles in the embers of the ruin of the house of the IPT, I'd rather blow and warm my hands there, instead of just urinated there and would start to judge the guy who burned the house down.

I'm not asking anybody to blow with me, but like I've also said earlier, the charges won't get old with some patience, and we can nail him later if we really do have the desire. I'd watch the final round of the final game first still - so much I wished it would be real, no matter how naive it sounds.

And please do not worry. I'm not anyhow attached to the idea of the IPT (even it might be difficult to believe ;)), so I wont jump to the river if (/when) we are honoured to receive the last e-mail from Kevin, where he advices us to put the cork back to our champagne bottles. (I spend time here only bcos I like writing, my stomach is full of bratwursts, I'm in germany and all the tv-programs are dubbed in german and I promised myself to not to touch the cue b4 thursday when the next ET starts, as I've been playing too much recently)

All The Best

(and very truly your's)

(I hope Kevin won't be angry to me in the next player's meeting as I'm fooling around here a little bit :( )

In using that quote, I was supporting your position. Many times, people start an endeavor with the best of intentions, and somewhere along the way, their morality, integrity and ethics get compromised. All for the "good" of the endeavor.

We are all being tested on a regular basis, and only our conscience and moral compass tells us the right way to act. Sometimes we listen to what we know in our heart is right and act accordingly, and sometimes we rationalize another course of action. And we know that also. Who among us hasn't acted against conscience more than once.

Temptation is always there, just waiting for the right opportunity. If you've ever owned a poolroom, you know exactlly what I mean. To cite one mundane example.

Yeah, makes completely sence. I sort of got it later. First I thought something else, as I was earlier referring to misdeeds made with bad intentions and misdeeds made with not so bad intentions, and the brother with worse intentions would also burn worse and would have more difficulties to find way back, than the brother with who at least had something real in him. And naturally, I'm not literally talking about heaven and hell, but the state of a man's soul. What ever the intentions are, man should never do wrong and never believe the explanations of one's mind (the guy with the horns there), that "if you do this now like that, you can pay back later so it's not actually steeling" - or whatever examples to be given in our everyday life and copeing with right and wrong, good or bad, morality and immorality, The Force or The Dark Side.

Best books btw, what I have red and which both handles this issue geniously, are C.S. Lewis' books "The Great Divorce" and "Screwtape Letters".

C.S. Lewis was highly realized soul, as I see it, and he had enormous ability to witness how his mind works - and many times against his true Self (= Spirit, residing in the heart and definitely not in the brains), where the truth and all the goodness lies. Both of those books are Masterpieces, maybe 'The Great Divorce" even a bit greater.
He was a former sceptic, but propably after keeping his mind open and continuous search for the truth, he experienced some sort of enlightenment, and later became a Christian. Instead of being regular Christian and blindly following 'the book' written mostly by unauthorized persons, he rather teached gently what the real Christianity is, what is the real Truth behind and above everything.

Peace,

M
