Honestly, even if the wood rail is in good shape, you'll be WAY better off to just replace the whole set of rails if the rubber is bad.

Even for us that know what we're doing, the labor to replace the rubber correctly most of the time just isn't worth it considering what you can get a new set for.

Check out RidgebackRails.com. Those are by far the best playing barbox rails on the market. If they don't have something for Cooper tables, then check out PenguinAmusement.com.

With a replacement rail, the rubber will be the right profile, and rubber and facing finish work will already be done. If you haven't done that kind of work before, it's hard to get it right. I know guys that have been doing table work for 20-30 years that still can't finish rubber and facings properly. For the price, you'll be much better off to just buy new.

Josh is right, theres no reason not to buy the whole rail these days. And if you send ridgebackrails.com the old rails he can make them for any coin tables.

table

Josh is rite about the cost'. By time you buy the cushions and the labor involved, its probably going to cost more to redo the rails than if you just purchased new ones, get a hold of ridgebackrails, you might have to send them a rail or two from the table, let me tell you! Ridgebackrails is your best bet'. Don't settle for less!
